It has been 6 years since humanity overcame the alien threat known simply as the Judgers. But it was only a momentary respite.
Learning from our previous war, the Volterites came under a banner of peace, but that was just a shroud to hide their intentions. Now, these telepathic aliens have turned our own kind against us, corrupting mankind with promises of Utopia served up by their advanced technology, and the Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance must fight the one threat it never intended to: ourselves.

Not since World War II has propaganda been such a widely employed weapon of war. Currently, the Human-Alien Alliance invests billions of dollars into brainwashing its own citizens, particularly the young, into blindly following and trusting the Volterites. But signs are beginning to point that similar campaigns have subtly started to target our own Terran Orbitals.
You may have seen ads like this one, posted in public areas or on storefronts. They have been the subject of speculation, anger and fear. But when asked, nobody seems to be able to identify where they came from.
“I walk by this terminal every day,” said Theresa Weathers, a photographer from Orbital T-76. “One day, I was boarding the elevator to my studio and some guy was handing hundreds these posters out to everyone. He seemed almost too nice, like on of those creepy religious evangelists. But the next day he was gone.
Others, like Spencer McGreggor, a high school student from Orbital A-11, said similar posters showed up even more mysteriously. “It was my first day back to school, and none of us could explain how the posters got on everyone’s lockers. Some of my friends said it was just a prank by one of the other kids, but I don’t really know.
Whether this is an attempt at sabotage from the Volterites or just a case of domestic mischief, the government isn’t taking the ad campaign lightly.
“This is no less than a direct attack on our society,” said Charles Winthrop, spokesman for the Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance in a press conference today. “The Volterites want to weaken our resolve the same way they lulled the Colonies into rolling over for them. But that won’t take here, I guarantee you.”
A team of Terran Orbital archaeologists reported a startling find this week, nearly 2,000 feet below the surface of Dragonaut, a planet just 15 light-years away from Earth. "There’s no doubt about it – this is a Judger relic," said Dr. Adrian Skye, organizer of the dig who is one of only a handful of archaeologists who specialize in the emerging field of ancient extra-terrestrial civilizations.
“There’s no doubt about it – this is a Judger relic,” said Dr. Adrian Skye, organizer of the dig who is one of only a handful of archaeologists who specialize in the emerging field of ancient extra-terrestrial civilizations. The relic is described as a city-sized dome of pure onyx, though only a few sections of the relic are visible to the team.
“The entire planet is littered with tunnels,” Skye explained. “And we’re only able to access a few of these tunnels at this time. But from what we can tell, this dome structure is at least 5 miles wide.”
Dr. Skye and her team came to the planet nearly 6 years ago when the “War of the Judgers” was still at its height. A scientist studying radio signals at the time noticed a powerful signal that matched very closely with those of the Judger war machines, but it originated from the Gliese 876 solar system. Skye organized her team and left for Dragonaut almost immediately after learning about this phenomenon, hoping to find some secret that could aid the war effort.
“That opportunity has passed,” said Skye, “but I’m certain there is a lot to learn here. If nothing else, this proves that there are likely other relics out there to discover. And who knows what other civilizations they might have come from?”
Skye hopes to understand the purpose of the relic within the next year or two.
KAL WARDIN,WAR HERO
Kal Wardin was always known as a good soldier for the Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, even from the time he was in boot camp. But nobody knew just how good a soldier he was until the War of Judgment.
Wardin’s legend would begin at that frightful time in history when a Colonial Administration spaceship unexpectedly returned from a mission. The vessel was locked on a direct course for Earth and ignored all attempts at communication. Unsure what fate befell the crew, N.O.V.A. command decided to expect the worst.
At the time, Wardin was retired and living a quiet life in a remote city. But, as his services were needed by N.O.V.A. once more, he was called back to active duty. Many men were sent to that ship – only Wardin came out. The entire thing was infested with biologically altered and aggressive alien creatures – the first wave in the assault by the Judgers.
After the ensuing war which Wardin freed us from, he once again went into retirement. But this time, nobody knows where he’s disappeared to. Though none doubt that when the fighting reaches it’s climax again, we’ll find Kal Wardin on the front lines once more. alien creatures – the first wave in the assault by the Judgers.
